Our Dream!

Sharing Well Inc. purchases a home.

Sharing Well then rents the house to a family 35%-65% below market value. The collected rent will be reported to credit agencies.

After client has some time to build credit, Sharing Well will sell the house to client below market value.

The problem we want to solve!

Extensive research consistently highlights the crucial connection between affordable and stable housing and enhanced educational outcomes for children. A notable study revealed that children hailing from low-income households, who experienced multiple relocations during their early elementary school years, exhibited lower math and reading achievement scores. These findings emphasize the vital role that affordable housing plays in fostering academic success and preventing long-term educational challenges for children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Build it.

Our “Welcome Home” initiative is one way we keep to the mission of sharing resources and experiences.

The Plan

  • Site Selection and Acquisition: Identify suitable locations for the ‘Welcome Home’ initiative. Evaluate potential sites for mixed income communities, accessibility, proximity to amenities, transportation, and community services. Negotiate and acquire existing properties.

  • Tenant Selection and Support: Develop a fair and transparent tenant selection process that prioritizes individuals and families with limited financial resources. Establish eligibility criteria based on income, family size, and other relevant factors. Provide support services such as financial counseling, job training, and access to community resources to help tenants achieve self-sufficiency.

  • Property Management: Establish an efficient property management system to ensure the long-term sustainability and maintenance of the affordable housing units.
