Our Story

Nikki Hedgecoth

Nikki was raised by a single mom who struggled making sure the basic necessities were provided. There was almost never enough for anything extra or special. But when she was afforded an opportunity to go on a vacation for the very 1st time, her entire world view changed. By taking her on this vacation, her grandparents helped show her a completely different way to look at life. And this is exactly what Sharing Well is all about. To expand someone’s worldview so they can see what’s possible and break the cycle of poverty one family at a time. See something different. To be something different.

Steven Hedgecoth

Steven grew up poor. His dad and mom worked as hard as they could to provide what they could, but they simply did not have enough resources to experience anything different. One evening, Steven’s god-father took him to a steakhouse and said he could order anything on the menu. Because Steven didn’t know anything about different cuts of meat, his god-father suggested he get a ribeye. It was at that moment that he realized that there was a huge world out there, beyond anything he had ever experienced. This one simple moment in a steakhouse, allowed him to experience something new that helped him dream of something beyond poverty. New experiences lead to new dreams.
